All other services for our patients are free. We do ask for a donation from each patient at every visit to help with the expenses.ĭonation per appointment: Dental $20 per appointment, Medical $10 per appointment, Bloodwork/Labs $5. We are comfortable saying that the volunteers at our clinic are seeing patients who simply have no other alternative and could not afford either insurance or pay for even basic healthcare. We allow a multiple of the Federal Poverty Guidelines as our benchmark with additional restrictions on total assets.

In June of 2012 a rigorous system of financial screening was put into place to make sure that the patients being seen at the clinic qualify for free care. We are the same volunteer-operated non-profit providing low-cost medical, dental and health education services to uninsured indigent adults in the Appalachian counties of Jefferson and Grainger, Tennessee. Our services are restricted to those who are uninsured and who otherwise qualify after a rigorous financial screening process. There is no charge for any services of the clinic to those who have passed our rigorous financial screening process. Services are open to uninsured, very low income adults in the Appalachian counties of Jefferson & Grainger. Joining Hands Health Center is a volunteer-operated clinic providing low-cost dental, medical, counseling, diabetes education services and referral to free vision care.
